Tee shirt graphics have been inspiring me lately.
This is one of my favorites lately: "ARMY OF LOVERS"
I’m sure the original intent of the design was no where close to what popped into my head when I saw it.
In my opinion, I believe that we are called to be just that. An ARMY OF LOVERS.
A love that expects nothing in return and to be unconditional.
Especially the church.
Everyone’s got their own opinions on church and what not. That’s a different convo. But in reality, the church exists to love others. To show love, to take care of each other and to exemplify God’s glory and love. To be known for what they stand FOR instead of what they stand against. (Thanks to Pastor @jerrymck of The City Church San Diego and Pastor @chrislauri of Anthem Friends Church in Hayden, Idaho for reminders of that in different ways lately.)
I wanna be part of a movement like that. To reach out to others always. I’m not the best at it. I’m pretty selfish actually. It’s dumb. But all I can do is to keep trying and ask God to mold my heart in only ways that HE can.
I want to do this for my wife, my family, my friends, ministry partners and even co-workers;)
Anyone really…It’s tough, but IT IS our mission.
John 13:34-35 says it all: “Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.” (The Message)
