The Pow Wow Hawaii movement is beautiful…
The talented crew over at ALOHA SUNDAY in North Park, San Diego (I swear they always seem to be on permanent-vacay. Ha!) are launching their first complete collection for Spring/Summer 2013.
The entire range will be available in a tight knit group of stores throughout the world in addition to their own brick and mortar space and online store.
Starring: Brandon Reeves, Carachele Carter, Christian Yeager, Clifford Kapono and Kahana Kalama
Ultra-creative, Russell Brownley, shot this short video lookbook on 16mm film.
This sheds light on the character and aesthetic of Aloha Sunday while showing their “don’t take us too seriously” attitude.

WELL-SAID. That Black Card comment is my favorite. I agree whole-heartedly;)
I bought my first Staple tee back in about 1999 or 2000. Introduced to what Staple Design was up to by cats named Jed Carter, Jeremiah Griffiths, Gilbert Gomez, Tony Arinez, John Alvino…
It was probably the most expensive tee I’ve ever purchased back then. I’m assuming it was close to $24 or $26 bucks. Which was crazy back then.
What Jeff Staple has brought to the world through his creative firm over the past 15 years has been market-changing, influential and respected. Whether you’re an old fan like many of us or if you’re a young buck just being introduced to it for the first time 15 years later due to mainstream capsule collections by companies like Urban Outfitters, I’ll give you a head-nod for recognizing a touch of greatness.
…however, sometimes you can’t stop the “cool stuff” from hitting the stores ‘where moms shop’ anymore. It is what it is:) Right, @OKShoots?
