History was made today for the United States Men’s National Soccer Team!

They achieved a rare victory over futbol power, Italy, with a score of 1-0 on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

Hailing from Texas (“Hook ‘em!”), Clint Dempsey scored a goal in the 55th minute of the match which took place in Italy.

This was the US Team’s first win over the Azzurri aka the Italian National Team for the first time in 11 games over 78 years!
